Shipping

At Auto Hauler Gear, we believe shipping shouldn't be a profit center.

Many online retailers increase carrier shipping rates at checkout to recover the cost of boxes, packing materials, and the labor required to pack and ship orders. Those costs are real, but we've chosen a different approach.

Our Shipping Rates

Our shipping rates are calculated in real time using the carrier's published rates based on:

  • Package weight

  • Box dimensions

  • Shipping destination

Instead of adding a markup, we have intentionally set our shipping adjustment to -50% or 50% below the standard carrier rate, meaning we absorb approximately half of the shipping cost on your behalf.

Why Shipping Can Still Be Expensive

Car-hauling gear is heavy.

Ratchets, tie-down straps, hooks, and hardware quickly add weight to a shipment. Large orders become especially costly to transport across the country.

For example, shipping a 16-pack of straps from the Pacific Northwest to Florida can exceed $100 at standard ground carrier rates. While that price can be surprising, it reflects what carriers currently charge for transporting heavy freight - not an amount we profit from.

Our Commitment

We're continually working to reduce shipping costs by:

  • Negotiating better carrier pricing

  • Improving packaging efficiency

  • Offering products that maximize value per shipment

  • Absorbing a significant portion of shipping costs whenever possible

Our goal is simple: deliver the highest-quality car-hauling equipment at the lowest total cost possible.

Thank you for supporting our small American business. Every order helps us continue investing in better products, better service, and better value for professional car haulers.

Order Processing

Please allow 2 - 4 business days for order processing and/or production of SecureTow products prior to shipment.

Lost or Missing Packages in Transit

Auto Hauler Gear works with trusted carriers including USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. While the vast majority of shipments arrive without issue, delays can occasionally occur once a package is in the carrier’s possession.

A shipment may be considered lost in transit if:

  • It has been 7 days past the original estimated delivery date, or

  • Tracking shows no movement or updates for more than 7 consecutive days.

If either condition applies, please contact us promptly so we can begin the resolution process.

Our Resolution Process

Once verified, Auto Hauler Gear will:

  • Initiate a trace and/or file a claim with the carrier.

  • Expedite a replacement shipment when appropriate.

In many cases, once a claim or trace is filed, the carrier locates the package and it resumes transit to the destination.

Duplicate Delivery

If a replacement shipment is sent and the original package is later delivered, we kindly ask that you notify us. We will provide a prepaid return shipping label for the duplicate merchandise.

Claim Time Limits

Carrier claim windows are limited. Claims must generally be initiated within 60 days of shipment, though certain circumstances may allow filing up to 9 months from the original shipment date, depending on carrier policies and shipment type.

For this reason, Auto Hauler Gear actively monitors package tracking to help ensure delays are minimal and addressed promptly. However, customers are also responsible for monitoring their delivery status and must report delayed or missing shipments as soon as possible to preserve eligibility for carrier claim recovery and replacement consideration.

Auto Hauler Gear reserves the right to determine when a shipment qualifies as lost in transit based on carrier tracking data, service guarantees, and carrier policies.
